Since version 1.7, Procedural Objects supports Modules that can be added to POs. They are basically extensions of Procedural Objects meant to add various behaviours to the objects. Some examples include the Back-and-Forth animation module (animate objects between two points) and Self-rotation animation module (animate objects by making them rotate).
Installing modules
Modules are independent from the Procedural Objects mod. They must be subscribed to on the workshop, and enabled in the Content Manager as normal mods. You can find modules in the official non-exhaustive PO Modules collection on the workshop. Once properly activated they will be listed in the modules management window (accessible from Selection mode)
- Note: you can create modules yourself through programming, see Making Modules
Modules Management
The Modules Management window (accessible from Selection mode) shows all the module types currently installed. It also contains :
- the amount of modules of a given type on the map
- the ability to disable all modules of a type at once.
Adding modules to objects
In order to add modules to an object :
- Create a PO
- Open Edit mode and click "Modules".
- The list of available types shows here. Click one to add it.
- It then appears above, under the "Current modules" list.
