Saving, Sharing, Removing the mod

The mod data is stored directly in the save file. There is no problem with sharing the saves, the data will be shared together with save file and there is no extra files to share, except the textures that aren't stored in the save file and have to manually be added to the Workshop upload folder (see the section below).
Removing the mod will not harm your save files nor your game. The objects will simply not show up in the game saves where there were some.

Key Bindings Configuration

All the mod's keybindings can be changed thanks to a special config file. There are two ways of doing so :

  • Open the file directly at this path : C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\ProceduralObjects_KeyBindings.cfg
  • In game, open the mod window and click the "Open Key Bindings Config File" button

In both cases, select your favorite basic-text edition software (for example Notepad++, or the Windows default Notepad) to edit this file. Then simply edit the key bindings. You can use any key or any combination of key, with the number of keys you want. Add the + sign between the keys, but don't add spaces.
Example: copy = LeftControl+C
Be careful to write existing key names otherwise it will cause the mod to crash. The proper key names list can be found here. For example you shall not use Shift but LeftShift (same with Control, use LeftControl instead)

Exporting Procedural Objects

Template:External image You can also independently export modified/textured Procedural Objects to place them in any game save or share them.

  • To export a single PO : enter Edit mode, in General Tool use the text field in the window to name it and click "Save".
  • To export a selection : select the group of PO, click "Export".

The resulting files (in .pobj format) are found in the folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\ModConfig\SavedProceduralObjects
They can be accessed in game by clicking the "Saved Objects" button in the main mod window.
